Volunteering at
SDVC

The Springfield Domestic Violence Coalition prioritizes the safety and well-being of the groups, people, organizations and volunteers we serve. To ensure this, all volunteers may undergo a background check which requires a clean criminal history and no history of domestic violence. This is to create a safe space for victims of DV in our workplace and it fosters trust within the team. Additionally, the Coalition takes data privacy very seriously. Confidentiality training is mandatory for all volunteers, ensuring the understanding of the importance of legal and civil penalties for failing to protect personal information and privacy especially when interacting with the public, media and law enforcement.

SDVC
Culture

While the work accomplished at Springfield Domestic Violence Coalition is undeniably important, it can also be emotionally challenging. That's why the Coalition fosters a friendly, exciting, and encouraging atmosphere for its volunteers and assistants. SDVC events lead to a strong sense of camaraderie as everyone works together towards one common goal. Monthly volunteer appreciation events celebrate achievements and create a space for bonding outside of work. This will be the most positive and supportive environment to do "YOUR THING". Volunteering for SDVC will leave you with the most incredible feeling that you had an impact on making your Springfield community so much better.
